On the heels of its striking “people of the districts” propaganda ad campaign, the Capitol has released its first propaganda video featuring an address from President Snow…and his newest supporter, District 12 champion Peeta Mellark. NO PEETA WHY.
Set to the seductive strains of the Capitol’s anthem (seriously, this song has got to have more subliminal messages than “Frankie Says Relax”), President Snow (Donald Sutherland) explains how the Capitol is here to take care of the people whose death and dismemberment it calls for.
But obviously this message is for just one rebel: “But if you resist the system, starve yourself—if you fight against it, it is you who will bleed.” And that’s why Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) is standing blankly by Snow’s side—to remind Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) what happens when you screw with the big dogs.
REAL OR NOT REAL, PEETA?
This had better mean we see Katniss’ first District 13 Mockingjay propo, stat. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 comes out November 21, 2014.

That picture is the most amazing “Who farted?” screencap ever.
Cool!
( I had to click on the little Digital Spy link at the bottom of the post to see the clip.)
Segregation today, Segregation tomorrow, Segregation forever.
–Bad word pattern to mimic, Snow.
@3: but it fits the system of Panem too. Sad to say.
CREEPY!
@1 It was obviously Peeta, though. He’s looking away as nonchalant as he possibly can, while Snow just smelled it and is apalled. Bread farts, man. Bread farts.
